Syddan 2-6 St. Vincents 1-13

Syddan came up short against a strong St. Vincent’s team in Ludlow Park on Tuesday evening. 

St. Vincent’s dominated the opening period showing great cohesiveness in attack and went in at the interval in a commanding position at 1-10 St Vincent’s to 0-2 to Syddan. Indeed the gap could have been a lot bigger but for great saves from Myles Avers in goals and last ditch blocks by Tommy Meade & Richie Connell. 

Syddan’s play improved significantly in the second period and they began to get a foothold at midfield. Goals from Eoin Lynch Duff and Andrew White brought the margin down to 4 points and St. Vincent’s held on for a deserved victory.
