FL Div 3: Kilbride move up to fourth

May 13, 2024

Kilbride's David O'Leary

Bective 3-15 Kilbride 0-10

Kilbride welcomed Bective on Friday night for their next league game. Bective started well getting the first point on the scoreboard. Kilbride equalised soon after. It was nip and tuck for a while until Kilbride got a penalty which was scored by Dave O'Leary which put the home side ahead before Bective came back with a few more points. The home side just mainted their lead at half time. Bective unfortunately lost one of their players with a shoulder injury just before half time, we wish him a speedy recovery.

Half time score Kilbride 1-4 Bective 0-6

Kilbride came out stronger in the second half playing some fabulous football, scoring 2 quick points before a goal from Adam Malone opening up the gap. Kilbride then continued to keep the score board ticking over before losing goal keeper Craig Manning to a black card with Adam Malone stepping into the goals for the last 10 minutes. Despite this the home side stayed well ahead with a further goal from Josh Harford. The points kept going over for Kilbride who then finished out strong with a win of 3-15 to 10 points.

Kilbride: Craig Manning, Cian Harford, Mark Dempsey (0-1), Ronan O Leary, Conor O'Driscoll, Finn White (0-3), Cathal McKeown, Paddy Peters, Anthony Barker, Luke Faherty, James Gavin, Adam Malone (1-2), Josh Harford (1-4), David O'Leary (1-5)
