Brendan Davis Cup semi final: 4 reds as Kilmessan advance to decider

Kilmessan made their way to the Brendan Davis Cup final with this three point win over last years finalists Kiltale last night at Kilmessan.

The visitors were on the scoreboard first but Kilmessan hit back with points from Darragh Horan and Luke Horan before Joey Keena gets in for the games opening goal. The home side went in at the break 1-7 to 0-6 in front.

Kilmessan held a 1-11 to 0-9 lead midway through the second half before Kiltale got in for a goal. As their game heated up substitute Seanie Doyle pointed twice to make sure of victory and a place in the final against holders Kildakey or Trim. It’s completes a great week for Nicky Horan’s men who also find themselves in the Donal O Loinsigh Cup final.

The home side finished the game with 14 players while Kiltale finished with 12.
