St Brigids 3-16 Eastern Gaels 1-06

St Brigids welcomed Eastern Gaels to Ballinacree on Tuesday evening in Round 3 of the Division 10 League.

Eastern Gaels opened the scoring in the first minute which was followed closely by a Tadgh Coyle point in the second minute to draw us level followed by two points from Ivan Carroll and a goal from Bobby Masterson to push us out to a five point lead with fourteen minutes gone.

Eastern Gaels responded with a goal and point of their own but Brigids regrouped and hit 2-07 before halftime with the goals coming from Leo McCann and Ivan Carroll to leave it 3-10 to 1-03 at the break.

The second period was a more competitive half with some stout defending from Brigids keeping Eastern Gaels to three points for the half with ourselves scoring six, the last of which was a long range effort from Alan Moore.

Next up for Brigids in this competition is an away game versus Moylagh on Tuesday the 30th of this month.
