Kilbride GFC presentation night

February 12, 2024

Kilbride supporters celebrate their JFC final win at Pairc Tailteann

February the 17th will be a special occasion for Kilbride GFC because it will be on this date that the new generation of Kilbride Gaels will receive their Championship winners medal in the Crowne Plaza in Blanchardstown having defeated Clann na nGael in emphatic fashion in Pairc Tailteann on October 7th last year to claim the Peter McDermot cup and end a drought of 52 years.

It took 52 years for the once Kingpins of Meath football to win another Championship following their success in the late 60's and early 70's and write their own names in history with the likes of O'Learys, McGovern, Mc Weeney's, Howard, Farrell, Dempsey and Harfords taking over from the likes of the Quinns, Bruton's, Sullivan's, Rooneys & Reilly's to name just a few and write their own name in History.

It will be a special night for all who have put in so much work at underage level over the years and to see their hard work finally pay off will be special.

They will also celebrate the success of their ladies team who won the Div 3 league title in 2023, another indication that this is a rapidly growing club who has  plans to field two ladies teams in 2024.

The Club awards which will be handed out on the night for players of the year are appropriately named after the late Paddy Clarke and May Mahon will be awarded to the men's and ladies player of the year.

Doors open at 7pm and Tickets are on sale from any Committee members or by emailing the club Secretary on,  [email protected]
