Longwood 3-08 St Brigids 0-10
St Brigids travelled to Longwood on Tuesday evening to play Round three of the Reserve Cup.
Longwood got of to a flying start and had 2-01 scored before Ryan Tighe opened our account with a point in the fifteenth minute. Peter Skelly and Peter Moore added two more minors before the break to leave the halftime score reading 2-04 to 0-03 to the hosts.
A much improved second half performance saw us battle our way back into the match but a penalty converted in the fifteenth minute of the half by Longwood put paid to our chances as the old saying "goals win matches rang true ". St Mary's are the next opposition for us in this competition in two weeks in a home tie.
