Nick Fitzgerald’s Kildalkey dominated the opening 15 minutes and thanks mainly to the accuracy of Paddy Conneely they led 0-6 to 0-2.
James Toher, Alan Douglas and James Andrews had the lead down to three before a brace from Conneely and one from Brian Conneely extended the lead 0-11 to 0-5 before Trim took over.
Substitute and Christy Ring Cup winner Pa Ryan kick started the Trim revival and when Andrews set up David Murtagh for a goal the lead was down to the minimum. Conor Quigley, Douglas and Peter Farrell added points and they went to the half time break 1-10 to 0-11 in front.
The Jubilee Cup holders made a push for home in the early stages of the second half. Murtagh returned the favour and set up Andrews for their second goal and after ten minutes their lead was out to 1-13 to 0-11.
Paddy Conneely did his best to keep Kildalkey in the game and with five minutes to go two goals separated the teams. Brian Conneely raised a green flag for the Village and set up a nervy finish for the Town side. But they responded in fine style with points from George Douglas (2) and Murtagh to close out the game.
After the game Martin O'Halloran presented the O'Growney Cup to Trim captain Alan Douglas.
