The draw for Round 1 of the All-Ireland senior football championship has taken place at Croke Park this afternoon.

The stand out fixture of the draw sees defending champions Kerry welcoming Donegal in a what is a repeat of this year's Division 1 league final and last year’s All-Ireland decider.

There’s also a repeat of the Division 2 final which will see Cork hosting Robbie Brennan’s Meath side, while Dublin and Louth meet again after the capital men dethroned the Wee County of their Leinster SFC crown at the weekend.

Monaghan, who booked their place in the Ulster final on Saturday, will have home advantage over Andy Moran’s Mayo in their Sam Maguire Cup opener while Galway welcome Kildare after their Connacht final date with Roscommon who drew Tyrone out of the hat this afternoon.

Meanwhile, Cavan boss Dermot McCabe will be plotting against his former side Westmeath, winners over Kildare after extra time yesterday, and it’s an all Ulster clash between Armagh and Derry with the Orchard men having home turf after their demolition of Down in Clones.

All of the provincial finalists are at home for the opening round ties, with the Munster and Connacht finalists set play on the weekend of May 23/24. The Leinster and Ulster finalists are in action on the weekend of May 30/31.
