Sad to report the passing of David McAteer. David played underage and adult hurling with CLG Bhulf Tón.
The club took to social media to pay tribute to their former player.
It was with great sadness that we heard of the sudden and untimely death of David McAteer.
David played underage and adult hurling with CLG Bhulf Tón for many years and was a leading member of the post-match Valley Cafe gang.
He played the game with a smile on his face and his good humour and sense of fun lit up our dressing room both in victory and defeat.
His wife Zoe and his children Daithi, Alannah and Tadhg are actively involved with our Go Games gaelic teams. David's brother Seamus is a mentor with our girls's under 15 football team.
To them and the extended McAteer and O'Connor families we offer our deepest sympathy.
Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh aige.
Ó Choiste agus ó bhaill Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Bhulf Tón.
