Schools: St. Patricks Baconstown retain title

Baconstown kept a firm grip on the Allianz Meath Cumann na mBunscol Division 1 camogie title with this comfortable win over Cannistown at Lomans Park Trim. PHOTOS

The girls in Maroon and White were the last holders on the title in 2019.

Thanks to goals from Millie Killoran and Emma Wall Baconstown led at half time 2-1 to 1-0, Ella Taaffe raising a green flag for the Cannistown school.

The winners dominated the second half, holding their opponents scoreless and adding points from Abbie Counihan, Anna Cole (2) and a second goal from Killioran.

It completed a great couple of days for the school with the boys winning the the Division 3 hurling title on Friday.

After the game Marie Keogh presented the Division 1 Camogie cup to Baconstown joint captains Sara Bagnall and Anna Cole.
