Meath Hill 2-14 St. Ultans 1-11
Meath Hill’s Premier team made the early Easter Sunday morning journey to St Ultans, coming away with a deserved victory after producing an assured performance.
Meath Hill made a quick start taking advantage of the strong wind in the first half which resulted in Meath Hill leading at half time on a 1-09 to 0-05 scoreline, with Sean Owens hitting a well taken goal along with good scores from Kyle Martin, Shane McCabe and Pierce McGrath.
The Meath Hill defence stood strong in the second half playing against the windy conditions, seeing out the St Ultans fightback well and keeping the scoreboard ticking over with the ever-young Keith Ginnity getting Meath Hill’s second goal. Meath Hill ran out victors by six points on a final score of 2-14 to 1-11.
Best for the Hill in a good team performance were Peter Griffin, Shane McCabe and Sean Owens.
