Meath Hill and Sencheschalstown competed in an eagerly contested game on Friday night in Meath Hill. Both teams had strong line ups out and gave a good account of themselves .
The early exchanges went Meath Hill’s way, as their winning of the second ball led to a steady supply into the full forward line .
Meath Hill got their two goals before half time with Keith Ginnity rounding the keeper after a well worked exchange with Kyle Martin. The second coming from a long ball in to Mark Tully who claimed and slotted home, this gave Meath Hill a strong position in the game and they never relinquished that lead from start to finish. Sencheschalstown rallied at the start of the second half but Meath Hill were able to keep tipping away at the points and get a good start to the premier championship campaign.
