Wolfe Tones 1-13 St Brigids 3-12

After a opening round win over St. Colmcille's, St Brigid's travelled to Kilberry on Sunday morning to take on Wolfe Tones in Round 3 of the A league. Wolfe Tones were first off the mark with a point in the first minute but Brigid's replied with a point from Joe Blake followed by a goal from Kevin Gilsenan and a pointed free from Cormac Browne before Tones got their second point with 14 minutes gone. Brigid's then went on a hot streak with a goal from Dylan Briody followed by two points from Kevin, two more points from Dylan Briody and one from play from Cormac before Dylan Scully made the trek upfield to kick a smart point to close out our scoring for the first period. Tones then grabbed two points to leave the scoreboard reading 2-08 to 0-04 at halftime. 

Brigid's started the second half brightly as Kevin waltzed through the Tones defence in the first minute to fire to the net again followed by points from Dylan Briody and Cian Blake left the Brigid's men with a healthy lead 3-10 to 0-04 with five minutes gone in the second half.

Wolfe Tones made a few changes in personnel at halftime and they started to find their feet as the game slowed down, the Tones took control and knocked over seven points in succession before Cian kicked a point in the 22nd minute to stifle the Tones purple patch. Tones hit another goal and two points before Joesph kicked the last score of the match, a point to leave Brigid's going home with the win.
