Rathmolyon 2-11 Dunderry 2-08

The tables turned completely since the last meeting between Rathmolyon and Dunderry. 

The  final of the Under 21A Hurling Championship brought the silverware to Rathmolyon. 

Only a few weeks ago Dunderry had a comprehensive win over Rathmolyon but today was Rathmolyon's Day.

A cracker of a goal in the opening minutes from Martin Forde put Rathmolyon on the scoreboard.  

Kevin Mulligan was on form with his precise free taking and added to his tally with scores from play.  

Half time came with The Village ahead by seven points on a score line of Rathmolyon 1-07 to Dunderry 0-03.

Both Jim and Eamonn Roche continued their show of strength and skill and pushed through the Dunderry defence. 

Rathmolyon with held the Dunderry comeback with a second Martin Forde goal proving vital. 

Dunderry responded with two goals but the men in green held out for a famous win.
