St. Michaels Under 12's celebrate

St. Michaels 7-02, Dunsany 3-07

St. Michaels U-12 girls finished off their season with a deserved victory over a gallant Dunsany side in this U-12 FL final played in ideal conditions on Sunday morning last in the Deerpark, Carlanstown.
The quality of football played over the hour was a credit to both teams and their management but unfortunately there has to be a loser and the north Meath girls greater firepower in front of the posts proved to be the difference.

St. Michaels couldn't have asked for a better start with Chloe Callaghan posting three majors in the opening eight minutes which proved to be a knockout blow for the gallant young Dunsany girls.

Dunsany to their credit settled soon after the goal rush and posted 1-1 without reply to reduce the deficit and they added a further 2-1 before the half time break. St. Michaels replied with 1-1 from Callaghan and Lauren Reilly to establish a 4-1 to 3-3 interval lead.

Dunsany put in an excellent third quarter to outscore their opponents by 0-3 to 0-1 but back came the St. Michaels girls with two majors from Lauren Reilly which sealed the deal and cap an excellent team performance for the home side.
