Favourites Dunshaughlin advanced to the Meath IFC final with this comprehensive win over Nobber at Pairc Tailteann.

In a very cagey opening half the winners took a 1-8 to 0-6 lead to the dressing room.

Nobber got off the mark first with a pointed free from Niall Farrell, the joint captain scored two more points in the opening period.

Luke Mitchell opened Dunshaughlin’s account. The impressive corner forward got the games opening goal on the 20th minute and along with points from Mathew Costello (4), John McDonagh and Matthew Moyles, Richie Kealy’s men opened up a five point lead at the break.

Lorcan McEntee narrowed that lead with an early point but when Moyles finished to the Nobber net it was always going to be an uphill battle for the North Meath club.

From there on Dunshaughlin dominated and outscored Nobber 0-11 to 0-3 to run out comfortable winners.

Dunshaughlin scorers: Luke Mitchell 1-4, Mathew Coyle 1-2, Ruari Kinsella and Mathew Costello 0-4 each, John McDonagh 0-2, Aaron Murphy, Fursey Blake and Conor Jennings 0-1 each
