Dunderry dedicate walking track to the memory of Lorna Carty

Dunderry GAA have dedicated their recently installed biodiversity walking track to the late Lorna Carty.

The communities of Robinstown, Dunderry and Kilmessan, indeed Meath in general, were left stunned by the shocking news of Lorna Carty's death in the terrorist attack at a Tunisian holiday resort today in June 2015.

The club made the announcement of their Facebook page.

Saturday 11th of June family, friends and the wider community joined together to remember Lorna Carty.

Lorna is remembered for her dedication to the club, always ready to stitch, bandage or help with fundraising. Lorna's kitchen was always a haven for medical treatment.

She was also a huge part the wider community including Dunderry Ladies Circle.

The recently installed biodiversity walking track around Dunderry GAA pitch was fittingly dedicated to Lorna and the crowd that turned up a testimony to her popularity.

A plaque for The Lorna Carty Biodiversity Walkway was unveiled on the night by her family.

Dunderry Ladies Circle provided refreshments afterwards.
