Meath Hill 0-06, St. Patrick’s 1-06

Meath Hill travelled up the M1 to face St. Patrick’s, Stamullen. 

In a tight first half Meath Hill missed a few scoring chances against a well organised St. Patrick’s rear guard. The Hill went 1-02 down, before Jack McMahon got us on the score board. The Hill started to get into their stride again and the supporters were reasonably happy as the deficit was reduced at half time, 0-03 to 1-02.  

The Hill continued to improve early in the second half and got back on level terms 0-05 to 1-02. However, the home side stemmed the Hill’s revival as they got the next couple of scores. The Hill created enough scoring chances to draw or win the game but unfortunately the radar was off. Plenty of work to do before championship.
