In her secretary's report to convention Mairead Delaney paid tribute to Dudley Farrell who has retired from his position in Coaching and Games following a 21 year stint.

"I would like to wish him all the best for his retirement, but something tells me he is not taking it too easy at the moment. He has an important job which he is so suited for until Christmas," the secretary said.

"Dudley, we miss the banter and fun and I don’t think anyone can fill those large boots of yours.

"He was involved with the Cul Camps and I know he will be missed by all the children who attended those camps. Thank you for the  many years of service to the GAA," the secretary concluded.

Delaney also welcomed Barry Horgan who has been appointed manager of football development and wished him well in his new role.

Gaeil Colmcille delegate Ultan Fitzpatrick also paid tribute to the Nobber club man.
