Curraha 2-8 St.Colmcilles 4-21
Curraha's final group game of the Senior Championship resulted in a disappointing defeat to St.Colmcilles.
Despite missing a number of regular starters, Curraha started well and had the better of the opening exchanges. However, a red card for Podge O'Hanrahan after just 7 minutes left them with an uphill battle. Conor Moriarty registered the first 2 points of the game, with 'Cilles not getting on the scoreboard until an 11th minute point. From here on, they began to make good use of the extra man and began to tag on scores. Conor Moriarty added a further 1-2 before half time, with Neil Shortall adding a point as well.
The have time score saw St.Colmcilles lead 2-10 to 1-5
Curraha started the second half brightly, with Conor Moriarty firing in another 1-2 in the opening 10 minutes of the half. As the game went on, St.Colmcilles were able to really take advantage of the space afforded to them in having 2 extra men on the pitch, following a 15th minute black card for Curraha. Diarmuid Moriarty got on the scoreboard for the 'Ha during this period, but 'Cilles were able to comfortably pull away in the final quarter.
