Moynalty 3-15 Rathkenny 2-9

Eoin Gilsenan got Moynalty going kicking a point. It was not long before Rathkenny got off the mark and went two up with a goal. Cillian Gaynor got Moynalty back in front when scoring a goal and a point. Rathkenny went on a scoring spree kicking a goal and three points without reply and going four ahead. The Moynalty lads got the scoring boots on and kicked five points two from Dylan Farrelly, two from Cillian Gaynor and one from Cathal Donoghue leaving the sides level Moynalty 1:07, Rathkenny 2:04. Just before half time Moynalty edged in front when a ball passed from Dylan Farrelly into Caoimhín Cussen think Caoimhín might have been going for a point here but it dropped down and ended in the net. Haft time score Moynalty 2:07, Rathkenny 2:04. 

Rathkenny got the opening point of the second half. Sean Mac Mahon got the other end for Moynalty. The ball was caught by the Moynalty midfield kicked back in and some how there was a rebound of the goals and Cian Lynch pulled on it and it went over the bar if it had to be a little lower it could have easily went into the net. Again Rathkenny never lay down and kept chipping away at the Moynalty lead with another point. A further six points for Moynalty one from Shane Bennett, two from Dylan Farrelly, two from Cillian Gaynor and one each from Eoin and Niall Gilsenan. Rathkenny kicked four more points, which left six points between the sides. Time was nearly up a ball caught out wide by the Moynalty captain Cillian Gaymor he got round his man to fire the ball to the net from an awkward angle for his second goal of the game. The Rathkenny goalie had just time to kick out the ball when referee Mark Baldwin blew the full time whistle leaving Moynalty the winners on a scoreline of Moynalty 3:15, Rathkenny 2:09.
