Clann na nGael 4-15 St Peter's, Dunboyne 2-5
A five star display from full forward Luke Ennis paved the way for a comfortable Clann na nGael win in the delayed 2020 Meath Under 15 Division 3 hurling championship final played in perfect conditions at Pairc Tailteann. To view photos from this game CLICK HERE
Ennis amounted for 12 points which included a brilliant score from a sideline cut 10 minutes into the second half.
The winners were 1-3 to 0-0 up before the first water break, the impressive Keelan McKenna getting the goal and Ennis with the three points.
Dunboyne’s second string had their best moments in the game after the water break. Points from Jamie McCormack, a goal from John Harkin and another point from full forward Sean McNulty brought them back in to the game. Clann Na nGael’s Jack Kelly scored 1-1 during this period as the Athboy/Rathcairn combination went in 2-4 to 1-2 in front at the break.
By the second water break the game was over. A string of points from Ennis had the winners in a commanding 2-12 to 1-5 lead. His magical sideline cut on the 40th minute was worth the entrance fee alone.
Two quick fire goals from Liam Kelleher and McKenna with seven minutes remaining the the issue beyond doubt.
After the game Clann na nGael captain keeper Brendan Smith was presented with the Division 3 Cup.
