Kilbride 4-21 Simonstown 1-7
Kilbride made it a clean sweep of three wins from three after a convincing victory over Simonstown in Kilbride on Wednesday last.
The result was never really in doubt as Kilbride raced into a 1-3 to no score lead in the first 5 mins. The visitors did respond with a goal of their own, but this was the only business the Kilbride Goalie Paul Hayes had to deal with as the home side scored with ease throughout the first half that finished with Kilbride at 3-10 to Simonstowns 1-4.
Kilbrides first half scores came from Conor McWeeney (1-1), Zack McGovern (1-3), Josh Harford (1-3), Ben Donnelly (0-1) and Andrew Mc Weeney (0-2). Simonstown were struggling to get through on goal with Ben Donnelly outstanding in defence and Timmy Farrell dominating in the air. They were supported with very solid performances at the back by Conor O’Driscoll, Brian Donnelly, Max Barrett, Daniel Boyd and Jack Sweeney
Kilbride did not let up in the second half as they pressed home their dominance with the scores from Harford (0-4) and Conor McWeeney (0-2) who both were in brilliant scoring form, Andrew McWeeney (0-1), Finn White (0-1), Aaron Nulty (0-1), Caolan Howard (0-1) and a brilliant goal from Jaime Quinn to finish up what was a rout.
