Premier FC: Finnegan's hat trick crucial as Seneschalstown begin with a win

Seneschalstown played the opening game in the Meath Premier Football Championship Division 1 at home against Gaeil Colmcille. 

Seneschalstown opened the scoring with a point in the first minute from Mark Fox. Gaeil Colmcille followed their opening score from a free. The home side went ahead just before the first quarter when Darren Laird found the back of the Gael Colmcille net. Seneschalstown continued with a hat trick of goals from William Finnegan in the first half and two more points from James Conlon left the home side on top at the break  Seneschalstown 4-04  Gael Colmcille  0-05 

The winners continued to dominate the early exchanges in the second half with points from Robert Wogan, Ryan O’Dowd and Sean Carey. Gael Colmcille scored a penalty in the 12th minute but even with 5 additional points it wasn’t enough to see off the home sides first half lead. Seneschalstown finished on top with six points to spare.
