IHC: Easy for Kildalkey

Kildalkey and Kilmessan met in sunny Athhboy on Saturday evening in this IHC first round fixture.

Kildalkey started well and early point from a free from Brian Coneely which was their only point from a placed ball settled them and points from Andy Fagan, Matt Rickard Podger Geoeghan (2) the impressive Francy Doran with 1-1 Coneely with 2 and another goal from Luke Rickard left them well ahead. 

Ross Flynn got in on the act too and Gary Kelly closed the scoring as they went in at halftime leading 2-10 to 0-2 in a one sided affair.

It didn’t get any better for Kilmessan after the break as Kildalkey added another 4-12 and only conceded another point in the half.

Fagan got 2 goals while Doran added another one for himself and Podger Geoeghan made it 6 goals as they added flurry of points from all over the field to seal the win as they made the perfect start to the intermediate championship.
