Ratoath remember dual All-Ireland winner Bill Eiffe

The late Bill Eiffe

One of Ratoath GAA’s most decorated players, Bill Eiffe, has sadly passed away.

A talented footballer and hurler, Bill won Meath JFC (1970) and Meath SHC (1963) medals during his playing days and also held the honour of being the first Ratoath player to represent the Meath senior footballers.

In a tribute, the club stated that Bill “had the distinction of holding Kevin Heffernan scoreless from play every time he marked him.

“During that time also he won Junior all Ireland’s in football and hurling for Meath, and a national league title in hurling.

“We would like to offer our condolences on to his wife Teresa, his sons Anthony and David and all Billy’s family & friends.”
