John Finn Mayo senior footballer and John Daly
Mayo Gaels GAA Club celebrated the 25th anniversary of victory in Mayo intermediate championship at dinner in Mac William Park hotel in Claremorris. A presentation was made to all the players on the 1984 team which was captained by Alan Brett. Chairman Tom Connolly led a special tribute to the late Gerard Henry RIP who was a player on the 1984 team and also the late Hubie Mc Nicholas RIP who was president of the club. John Daly was presented with a special presentation for the many years service given to Mayo Gaels GAA club by John, and for the continued sponsorship of the Intermediate team by his company www.irelandfood.ie. John Daly has been sponsoring Mayo Gaels since 1992. John Daly accepted the beautiful presentation on behalf of all voluntary members past present and for future volunteers. He encouraged younger members to get involved in officer ship of the club as this will give them the confidence required to develop their careers in later life. Been an officer will strengthen their negotiating and presentation skills, because if you can sit in front of your friends and neighbors then you will be able to mix with the best.
