Championship: Not our finest hour, but we were short to many players to compete with a far stronger Mattock team. Fair play to the lads for their efforts and keeping going, no club is successful all the time and we are going through a tough time at the moment. Believe it or not there are men who played for this club and never won anything and others who worked for the club and never seen it be successful. We have been lucky to be on a run with players since before 2006 a have been successful in the league, championship and Leinster at adult, minor and under 21 level. Now we don’t have the players available any more, the club will go on and we will put our shoulder to the wheel and soldier on. It’s at times like these you find out who your club people are.
