Final: The All-Ireland SFC final between Mayo and Tyrone at Croke Park will be staged in front of 41,150 spectators, the GAA has confirmed. New covid 19 measures allow for a 75% capacity at outdoor sporting events if all attendees are fully vaccinated. However, the GAA has decided to set the capacity at 50% as planned with an additional 1,150 tickets becoming available ahead of the Sam Maguire Cup showdown on September 11. The GAA gave an explanation and reasoning around the decision in a statement. "The GAA welcomes yesterday’s government announcement regarding the easing of restrictions for sporting events," the statement reads. "After careful consideration we are confirming that a 50% capacity threshold will apply for the GAA Football All-Ireland final at Croke Park on Saturday week, September 11."This means there will be an additional 1,150 tickets for distribution. "With approximately half of our tickets already distributed and unrealistic logistical challenges around processing Covid passports on a match day for a crowd in excess of 41,150 coming from all over the country and abroad, it was decided to proceed on the basis of a 50% attendance.

TV: Louth GAA is delighted to announce the return of LúTV to our screens for the 2021 Championship season. Last year the introduction of our streaming service proved very popular due to reduced capacities being allowed in our grounds. This season sees the return of games being streamed live on our LúTV platform, however there are a few slight changes. Last year we were partnered up with 247 TV and streamed most games across all grades. This season we are linked up InPlayer, who will be providing us with a paywall service to purchase games via the Louth GAA website. For instructions on how to access the new LúTV platform visit the Louth GAA Website.

Refs: Louth GAA are delighted to announce that their most recent call for new referees has proved very successful and are delighted with the 11 new referees and look forward to having them start their new careers in representing their club and their county. This is the first time that so many new referees have qualified in a given year. Chairman Peter Fitzpatrick presented each new referee with their kit bag, wallet and new gear. Present on the night was Denis McArdle (Referees Administrator), Malachy Craven (Referees Assessor) and John Kellegher (Referees Assessor).
