Fermanagh captured their third Lory Meagher Cup title this afternoon by seeing off Longford on a 3-22 to 2-20 scoreline at Croke Park.

The Ernesiders had been 0-7 to 0-4 to the good when Brian Teehan smashed in their first goal midway through the first-half and they wouldn’t look back from there.

Sean Corrigan and Danaan McKeogh added a brace of points each as they Ulster side went in with a 1-14 to 0-9 lead at the break, and the opening minute of the restart would see lashing in their second goal at headquarters.

A couple of Cian Darcy points looked to steady Longford’s ship and they’d be in with an outside chance after David Buckley register their first goal in the 47th minute.

However, Joe Baldwin’s men were able to see out the win by firing in another Teehan goal with 15 minutes to go and sending over more points via Teehan, Luca McCusker (free) and John Paul McGarry in the closing stages, securing a first triumph in this competition since 2021.
