Reilly and O'Brien scoop Longford awards

Colmcille’s Declan Reilly and Joe O’Brien of Clonguish Gaels have been named as the Longford Senior Footballer and Hurler of the Year respectively.

The pair were honoured at last Saturday night’s Longford GAA / Longford Leader All-Stars Awards in the Longford Arms Hotel. It was the long-serving Reilly’s second time to the win the football accolade after starring in Colmcille’s latest Connolly Cup success.

The well-known GAA administrator John Greene from Mostrim was inducted into the Longford GAA Hall of Fame, while newly-elected Leinster GAA chairman Derek Kent was on hand to present the Longford senior footballers with their O’Byrne Cup medals.

Senior Footballer of the Year - Declan Reilly (Colmcille)

Intermediate Footballer of the Year - Jack Walshe (Ballymahon)

Junior Footballer of the Year - John Hand (Grattan Og)

Hurler of the Year - Joe O'Brien (Clonguish Gaels)

Ladies Footballer of the Year - Grace Shannon (Longford Slashers LGFA)
