Mass: As announced by the Government last Friday, people are allowed to return to churches to attend Mass from Wednesday (2 December) subject to a number of restrictions. Fr Pat has announced that Masses in the Parish of Dromard will resume on Wednesday in Moyne at 7pm and continue at the usual times. Please note that the HSE guidelines limit the number who can attend Mass indoors to 50. Two metre social distancing guidelines should be adhered to (members of the same household can sit together) and the wearing of face coverings is required where possible. Ushers will be on hand in both churches to assist those attending and to ensure the safety of all. Attendance at weekday Masses fulfils the Sunday obligation. It will still be possible to view Mass online from both Legga and Moyne. The website address to view the Mass from Moyne church is churchtv.ie/moyne and for Legga the address is churchtv.ie/legga A reminder that anniversary Masses can be booked for Saturdays and Sundays. Please take every measure that you can to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Cavan: Best of luck to Cavan in the All-Ireland Semi-Final against Dublin on Saturday and especially to the members of the panel and backroom team from our neighbouring clubs. The GAA community in North Longford and Cavan has historically been closely interconnected and that remains the case today. Two of the outstanding players on the Cavan team this year – team captain Raymond Galligan and half-forward Martin Reilly – have local connections. Raymond’s mother Martina McGauran is originally from Lisorty while Martin Reilly’s father is Padraig Reilly from Enaghan. Best wishes to them and to all involved in the Cavan set up on Saturday.

New Arrivals: There is reason for double celebration in the Reynolds household Garvary this week. Congratulations to senior player Peter Reynolds and his fiancée Grace on the birth of their new baby girl, Mary Ellen. Congratulations as well to Peter’s sister Imelda – stalwart full-forward on the Dromard ladies team – and her husband Brian on the birth of a new baby girl Annie. Congratulations to another former Dromard Ladies player Edel Fagan (nee Martin), Carlow and formerly Corinagh, and her husband Martin on the birth of their new baby girl, Aoife.

New Walking Track: Its great to see our new walking track being used extensively. Please be aware that the lights on the walkway turn off at 10pm each night. You are also asked to please remember when using the walking track to keep your dogs on a leash and clean up dog litter. Bicycles are not allowed on the track and ask your children not to take their bikes on the track. Thank you.

Message to the Community on COVID-19: We hope that all our members, players and supporters are keeping well and minding yourselves.
