Ahane celebrate 100th Anniversary of Mick Mackey's Birth

On this day 12th July 1912, Limerick's greatest ever hurler Mick Mackey was born.

His club Ahane will celebrate the great mans 100th anniversary with mass in Castleconnell this evening at 7.30pm.

This is followed by the unveiling of a plaque at the former Mackey homestead located at Meehans Undertakers at the top of Castleconnell village.

Patrons are then invited to the Ahane GAA club to continue in the celebrations. Tweet
