Doon and Dromin/Athlacca opened their Limerick SHC campaigns with wins last night.

At the TUS Gaelic Grounds, Adam English posted 0-10 and Darragh Stapleton and Chris Thomas hit the net as Doon edged out Kilmallock 2-20 to 3-16. Phelim O'Reilly grabbed two late goals for Kilmallock, but they were too little, too late as Doon held on for the win.

Meanwhile, county star David Reidy bagged 1-14 (0-12 from frees) for Dromin/Athlacca in their 2-23 to 3-14 victory over South Liberties. Barry Nash led the scoring for 'The Souths' with 0-9 (0-8 frees), while Shane O'Neill raised a pair of green flags.
