Barry Nash says there’s “a massive respect” between Limerick and Tipperary and expects another close battle between the sides when they meet in tomorrow night’s Allianz Hurling League semi-final.

The Treaty men are favourites to advance into next month’s Division 1 decider and, with the Munster championship’s start just weeks away, corner-back Nash says the All-Ireland champions aren’t looking beyond this weekend.

"Obviously there's a bit of a rivalry there between Limerick and Tipp, we play each other every year in the Munster championship,” the South Liberties clubman told RTE Sport.

"We've had great battles throughout the years and there's a massive respect there between the two counties. I would say both ourselves and the Tipp lads are looking forward to this weekend for the semi-finals."

He added: We're playing Tipperary this weekend and that's our focus for this weekend. It's a big game for us, a league semi-final, it's a massive opportunity to get to a league final.

"Every competition we're in, we want to win so this game is the next big game to us."
