Ciaran Carey has been named as Limerick's best hurler of the past 25 years. Limerick's teams of the last 25 years were announced at a gala function in the Strand Hotel last Friday night with the Patrickswell legend manning the centre back position in the hurling selection. John Quane, who represented Ireland in the International Rules series, was named as the Treaty County's best footballer of the past quarter of a century.
