Roscommon are through to the Allianz Hurling League Division 3A final after handing Monaghan a 1-19 to 0-14 defeat.

Despite seeing a change in management which saw Seamus Qualter coming in to replace Francis O’Halloran last month, the Rossies have overcome their early season troubles with this afternoon’s result in Clontibret which sees them awaiting either Armagh or Monaghan in the league decider.

Brendan Mulry’s goal sent the visitors towards a 1-10 to 0-8 half-time lead and they’d hit the first five points of the restart to kick on for the victory.

Armagh held off a strong comeback from Fermanagh to record a 3-17 to 3-16 win at the Athletic Grounds and book their place in the semi-finals.

Sean Corrigan’s goal helped the Erne men lead comfortably at the halfway stage (1-12 to 0-9) but goals from Peadar McBride and Danny Magee early in the restart turned the game in the hosts’ favour.

Magee struck another major which looked to seal the deal for the Orchard County before Fermanagh put the heat on the late on and eventually finished one-point short.

In Darver, Mayo posted five goals for the second weekend running for crush Louth on a 5-20 to 0-15 scoreline.

Adrian Phillips (2) and Eoin Delaney rattled the Wee County’s net in the first-half and Delaney would grab another in the second-half prior to Joe McManus helping round off the 20-point with a late major.

In Division 3B, Leitrim and Longford will contest next weekend’s semi-final to see which team joins Cavan in the league decider.

Joe Murray’s late point gave Leitrim a 0-10 to 0-9 win over Longford in Drumshambo this afternoon, while Lancashire cruised to a 5-20 to 1-12 victory against their fellow exiles Warwickshire in Birmingham.
