Division 1 League

It was a bumper weekend of football with mixed results. Div 1 had a convincing win over Melvin Gaels on Friday night. This was another fine performance with Ronan Kennedy and Jordan Reynolds the top scorers with 1-3 apiece. S McGowan 1-0, R Gordon 0-2 and F McGuinness, E Harkin and D Flynn a point apiece were the other scorers

Div 2 and 3

Both these sides recorded victories over St Mary’s in Carrick on Sat. Top scorers in Div1 Reserves were, R Gordon 1-6, F McGuinness 0-5, A McLoughlin 0-2, P O Neill, C Quinn, D Duignan a point apiece. The third string also had a win in Carrick with David Wynne top scorer with 2-2. Jamie Stenson who was out injured for the last few weeks, made his debut in the green jersey and scored two points.

Injuries

Wishing a speedy recovery to Ethan and Sean Harkin, Ronan Gallagher and Barry Lupton who were recently injured. Both Kevin Flynn and Conor Macklin will be out for some time with serious knee injuries. Alan Armstrong will hopefully be returning to the field of play soon.

Wedding Bells

Good Luck to Domhnaill Flynn and Leanne McGrath as they walk down the aisle on Friday. Domhnaill has been a constant on the playing fields since he stepped out of nappies, always smiling and giving his all. We wish them both and their families a great day and a long life of joy and laughter.

County Boys

This was a mismatch from the start and live television did not help the nerves. We were proud of our reps, Keith Beirne, Shane, James, Oisín and Keith Keegan

Leitrim Ladies success

Well done to the County ladies on their great win over Fermanagh. They are keeping the flag flying for Leitrim. Mohill have five ladies on the panel and they are a loss to the club team. Charlene Tyrell, Nicole Higgins, Emma Quinn, Michelle Hackett and Michelle Beirne.

Mohill Ladies

Mohill girls played Dromahaire in the Park on Sunday last. They gave it their all but the visitors are an experienced outfit and were convincing winners in the end. The absence of the five county panellists is a loss to the team.

New Baby

Congratulations to Louise McLoughlin and her partner Barry Maguire on the birth of their little baby Jack. Another grandchild for former Chairman Padraig McLoughlin and his wife Claire. Health and happiness to all.

They extended their lead in the second half and ran out worthy winners. The second string went down to Leitrim Gaels on Friday evening. The U 17 Div 3 were beaten by Fenaghs first team.
