Cora Staunton continued her superb form Down Under as she helped GWS Giants to victory over Geelong on Saturday.

The Mayo legend notched a goal as the Giants won by 16-9 at GMHBA Stadium to keep their finals hopes alive.

The 39-year-old hit three goals in last weekend’s win against St Kilda and the Sydney side sit in ninth position with one game remaining in the regular season.

Elsewhere, Orla O’Dwyer of Tipperary starred as league leaders Brisbane Lions scored a fourth win pn the bounce by defeating North Melbourne, a side that also had Irish representation in Mayo’s Aileen Gilroy.

Along with the Lions, Collingwood also reached the finals as Sarah Rowe (Mayo) and Aishling Sheridan (Cavan) helped them to a comfortable 59-13 win over St Kilda.
