Ciaran Brennan took the scoring honours with 1-4 as St Kieran’s retained the Leinster Post Primary Schools Senior ‘A’ hurling silverware at O’Moore Park earlier today.

The famed Kilkenny nursery overcame Colaiste Eoin of Dublin on a scoreline of 1-17 to 2-7.

Padraig Puirseil and Darach Mac Giolla Bhride netted goals for the Sillorgan school in the opening period but they trailed by 2-4 to 1-8 at the break.

They enjoyed the better of the early second-half exchanges and sent over three points to take the lead.

As the game progressed, however, the All-Ireland holders reasserted their authority.

St Kieran’s held Colaise Eoin scoreless for the remainder of the contest en route to claiming a 56th provincial crown.
