Speculation is mounting that Kildare will play their home Allianz Football League Division 2 games in Croke Park next year.
With redevelopment works of St Conleth’s Park expected to run until the end of 2024, the Lilywhites have requested the use of GAA headquarters next spring. Their home games are expected to be played as part of double bills with Dublin’s Division 1 home games on Saturday evenings.
Since St Conleth’s Park closed last April, Glenn Ryan’s charges have played their home Championship games in UPMC Nowlan Park and Glenisk O’Connor Park, while last Sunday’s county SFC and IFC finals were also moved outside the county to Netwatch Cullen Park in Carlow.
