Antrim hurling captain Conor McCann says Darren Gleeson has had an “unbelievable” impact as manager of the Glensmen.

The Saffrons will lock horns with Kerry in Sunday’s Division 2A final at Croke Park and McCann is full of praise for the contribution of former Tipperary goalkeeper Gleeson:

“The enthusiasm Darren has is unbelievable. He has an aura about him and he comes up and you know he is hurling-mad, and he looks at us and tells us he sees something in us,” the Kickhams Creggan clubman told The Irish Independent.

“And something it is hard for us to see that ourselves. He has a great understanding of hurling and we are glad he's there. We understand it is his first year in management, but so far so good.”
