Tipperary's Declan Ryan
New Tipperary hurling boss Declan Ryan has drafted four new players into his squad ahead of the new season.

John O'Neill, Michael Gleeson, Sean Carey and John Coghlan have been added to the senior panel after starring at underage level in recent seasons. O'Neill, Carey and Coghlan played under Ryan when Tipp won the All-Ireland minor title in 2007 and were also members of this year's All-Ireland under 21 winning squad.

Dual stars Carey and Coghlan, who missed the All-Ireland under 21 hurling final due to suspension, also won Munster under 21 football medals with Tipp this year.

Gleeson scored two points following his introduction in the 2006 All-Ireland minor final and, more recently, has caught the eye in Thurles Sarsfields' march to next Sunday's Munster club final against De La Salle. He is a son of Sars manager Michael Glesson, who was recently appointed a Tipperary selector.
