A shoulder injury has ruled in-form Galway forward Tadhg Haran out of Sunday’s HL1A clash against Limerick.

Haran put in a man of the match display against Westmeath last weekend, scoring six points from play in their opening league clash at Salthill.

The Liam Mellows clubman was carrying his club form into county action as he was one of the stand out performers during the 2019 campaign.

However, Haran will sit out this weekend’s eagerly awaited clash against the Shannonsiders at the Gaelic Grounds, but Galway coach Fergal Healy told the Connacht Tribune that he shouldn’t be sidelined for too long.

“Tadhg had a super game, but Tadhg also had a brilliant pre-season. He was really good in the Walsh Cup and he was really good in the couple of challenge games we played before Christmas,” said Healy.

“He is a very dedicated guy, he works hard, and he was really sharp the last day, taking his scores very well and getting on a good bit of ball.

“So, he showed up well, but unfortunately, he has a shoulder injury and is out for this weekend. It is a pity for him. It is nothing long term, but it is still going to put him out for a couple of weeks.”
