Replying To Fionn:  "Ahead of the big game this weekend, I was looking at the top scorers in the Dublin SFC from both finalists.

King CON is miles ahead of the rest with 41pts,
and in fact is nearly the same as the cumulative total of the top 3 scorers from Castleknock - 19pts, 15pts & 14pts.

The Northsiders will need to do a hell of a job trying to keep him quiet during the game.

Great to see Cuala still captained by Mick Fitz.

Really looking forward to this final."
The thing I love about Con is his work rate, skill levels. support play, he can and will defend, he can play in many different positions, and as we all know, he can score heavily also.
He is sure to be heavily marked this weekend, as with all games he plays, but he still manages to score or be involved in scores to a very high level, as even the stat above shows.

Con is one of thr best ballers in the country.
Cillian O Connor has just retired but would nt lace Con s boots.

Very disappointing final.Well done Cuala but Castleknock were very poor.Even the great Ciaran was quiet today.
Cuala much better team and if Con had his eye in It would have been humiliating for Castleknock.Con wnded up with 2-5 but only a point from play I think and missed alot.
McMorrow was outstanding and Mick Fitz rrolled back the years.Cuala well capable of winning the All Ireland.

Dublin SFC Final went as a few had feared but not fully expected.

Castleknock never got going and were never allowed to tbh.

The FT score of Cuala 3-15 v C'knock 1-06 was pretty much a fair reflection. But 1-09 without reply in the 1st half really killed the game.

Castleknock kick outs were dominated by Cuala.

Both teams had some wayward shooting but after last years semi final loss to Boden, Cuala were a very determined team to put things right again.

This is only Cuala's 2nd ever Dublin SFC trophy (2 in 3 years) and I reckon there are a few more titles in this group of players.

Con top scored with 2-05 but he really should have scored another half dozen points.
Great to see the evergreen Mick Fitz scored a couple of points also.

CK had a pretty quiet game but Cuala were well able to snuff him out on the day.

2 of the Dubs new shining lights played very well - Eoin Kennedy and the MOTM Charlie McMorrow especially.

The Dalkey men play Offaly champions Tullamore on Nov 1 in PP, in the Leinster club championship.

A word on the Full House yesterday. Both clubs brought massive support which was great to see.

Next up for Cuala is the chance of doing the Double this weekend v Kilmacud Crokes.
I really hope they do it.

Looking forward to another day in the Neller.

2 time Hurling All Star, Liam Rushe, has announced his retirement from Inter County Hurling.
The 36 year old has called time on his Dublin career.

Hell of a player and he has a Leinster SHC winners medal and a League winners medal to his name.

The "sold out " thing is strange as there was plenty of empty seats on both sides of the main stand.

I thought that myself but it was definitely announced as a Sell Out on Sunday morning.
Perhaps some ticket holders went to watch it in the pub or in the comfort of their home, for some reason..?
Weather was great, so who knows…!?!

Dublin's loss is Na Fianna's gain for next year.
Rushie was some player when he was in his prime.
