Replying To dualcounty2027: "wat new player or new tactical ides should Galway do next year" We should know what new players should be tried by the end of the county championship.
Tactics wise hard to say unless you've a team that's capable of playing more than one style at a good level.

Replying To dualcounty2027: "wat new player or new tactical ides should Galway do next year" My thoughts after the All ireland haven't changed, that rather than rip up the script, the priority is to get better at the Plan A from last year. There were lots of occasions in the final where limerick forced poor execution, with Morrissey, Tom Mon and Glennon particularly guilty in that area. Not meaning to be harsh on those lads they were just obvious examples. Added to that a plan B where we have a second man up. You can't clone Rabbitte so need someone with pace and power. Easier said than done and I don't think there's an obvious palyer on the panel. Brian Callanan would be my hope but might need another year or 2. Kevin cooney in his 2023 form would be ideal but that seems to be gone. Gavin Lee may be worth a shot.
If we're going 2 up on occasions more legs would be needed in the middle and you mgiht see a Cullen Killeen come in for Monahan. rory burke will obviously be a massive addition. I'd be looking at Morgan to take Padraig's place. Tiarnan Leen probably worth a look based on club form. Possible team

It just shows you, we better win something while Daithi is about, because we'll be losing a serious operator when he steps away.

Anybody that was keeping an eye on the Junior A in the last few years knew it had to change . Second team clubs get to play games earlier in the summer , dont get effected by dual clubs and intercounty players.
First team clubs get a level playing field in Premier Junior from the start of the championship. Every team so far have got some sort of positive result. I dont think people grasp how difficult it is for a first team club to get lads training or even playing when its not the dominant sport . You compare that to a lad whos training senior with the first team , probably playing senior league and gets good games at Reeves cup
I think the system is fair now, referencing when Annaghown and Spideal won the Junior A is grand , but we really need as many hurling clubs as possible , we do enough gate keeping as we are , but fairplay to the county board having some PremierJunior games in county grounds is good aswel .

Absolutely. As well as this, it's important to note that this wasn't a dictat from the county board. A motion was sent in relation to this, I believe from Kilbeacanty originally. It was adjusted slightly and then put to all hurling clubs to vote on.
It passed with just shy of 70% in favour of the new structure.
The way some people go on here, you'd almost think they want fewer people in the county playing hurling.

Regarding your point about Whelan, I was thinking about a possible 15 for next season and I'd say a good chance Neary, Mannion and Mon as half forwards, Rabbitte and Niland then perhaps Burke/Whelan to complete the forward line.
