First off as a true Galway football supporter i congratulate mayo on a great victory it was brilliant football and I know lots of people and friends in mayo and I was delighted for them the joy it brought can never be replaced, ,listening to crowd sign the green and red after game is something to behold and I firmly believe the supporters carried mayo when needed as a Galway man unfortunately we don't have anything near that type support I'm all ready looking forward to next year as I believe a mayo win will hopefully drive on my own county to play football the way mayo played it for majority of year agsin congrats not alone on great win but on a great spectacle on and just as important off the field ,,

Replying To eoinog:  "Worthy champions, stop trying to pick holes in their victory. I hope I wouldn't stoop so low and I have no affinity to Mayo."
Again,if it was the other way round youd be the first on here picking holes.
You were quick to call out kerry fans for booing Murphy. You didn't see quite so put out when the dubs booed Clifford in the semi strangely enough.

In any event I was delighted to see Mayo win the title actually. Brilliant team and worthy champions.

This time last week I was heading out to the airport on a journey I'd taken 10 times before a journey that ended in sorrow but this year it was a journey of a lifetime. I wouldn't say I was confident but I was very optimistic that if we played the same way as we did against Louth in the second half that we were in with a chance. The first 15 minutes or so was like a lot of other years but there seemed to be a confidence in the fans that this was nothing to be too worried about about, we'd been through it before and thank God we got through it again.
I wouldn't say like to know who was the bigger that kept turning the clock back the last 10 minutes took an hour to play. To everyone on here thank you for your best wishes and congratulations.
I waited a long time to say this and it sounds so good,
All Ireland Champions Mayo.
