There was a lot on confusion among spectators yesterday with regard to the actions of the referee, he allowed play to continue for a protracted period after continuous actions , before pausing and then awarding a free. It was suggested by some around me that the game was being officiated by committee and results being transmitted to the whistler which accounted for delayed action without seemingly any indication that an advantage was being allowed.
