So happy with today's result. The best I hoped for was maybe a 1 or 2 point victory. Great performance. I hope Rory Burke is back for the Final. Galway Abu.

It feels a lot to me like the 1985 semi-final when Cork were also red-hot favourites but were blown away by a brilliant display from a new look Galway team under the second coming of Cyril Farrell. Would be great if this bunch goes on to emulate the subsequent exploits of that great 1985-1990 team."
Tonic this ....Galway footballers are overrated.

Well done to Galway. What a performance. Rabbitte, glennon, trayers were fantastic. When there's so much talk about 2 teams meeting in the final it often doesn't work out like that

Well done to Galway. Brilliant performance especially that 15 minutes after half time. Hopefully some of those munster pundits and fans can have more respect for the leinster championship

Brilliant win yesterday. All areas of the performance were superb. Morrisey, Glennon, Lee, Killeen excellent with bringing out the ball from the defence.

Cathal, Mono, Whelan and Niland also in carrying the ball and feeding Rabbitte who's a paw like a magnet.

Cillian Trayers though with a superb man marking job on Brian Hayes who only got a single point off of him an excellent defender and was clear to see in underage teams as well that he's a great talent.

Should've won by 20, some poor wides and lots of them. Excellent performance overall.

The wides could have been 'somewhat' strategic too. We scored loads from range, and wides might be a price you pay for that. One advantage of wides, from your own defensive viewpoint, is that you'll be facing a set play puckout, as opposed to possible sudden turnover/counterattack. Galway were fairly comfortable all second half facing Cork's long puckouts.

I don't watch much soccer anymore, but one team i did watch was PSG this year in their last few CL games. They went to Munich with a 1goal lead, and I was fairly sure that booting the ball deep into touch in Bayern's territory was a part of their 2nd leg gameplan. Helped slow the tempo, and minimise the chance of facing any quick counter attack off a turnover. Paris progressed on the night. That's one thing about Cork. They love mile a minute tempo, when they're on song.

It's absolutely part of them game nowadays. Very similar to the 2023 quarter final v tipp in limerick. We played with one up top sometimes we had no one inside and I remember countless times cathal Mannion absolutely skying the ball to let it be in the air for 4/5 seconds so by the time the ball landed a Galway man was underneath it. Still though we should have been more efficient yesterday. We left cork in the game. See what happened today when clare left limerick in it

After yesterdays game I'm conflicted as to whether i witnessed an extraordinary Galway performance or a monumental Cork collapse , the first may worry Limerick or the second will be of no concern to them, the other takeaway from the game was how easily it was to becalm the Cork supporters .I did not have a view of half of the field for a great portion of the second half due to a queue of Cork followers leaving the wreckage of their teams performance. It reminds of the time Paudie O'Shea described his fellow county men as savages after a similar episode, teams who demand success won't constance anything less than trophies.

Fantastic win and did not see that coming, I thought that playing the 14 men back would stop Galway from getting hammered but didn't see them blowing Cork out of the water TBH. It was similar to what Tipp done last year in AI but I think Galway played the system better than Tipp. Many of the Galway players had their best day in the jersey especially Glennon, Lee and Kileen who got a lot of work in. Conor Cooney is becoming the new Noel Lane! I have concerns around an injured Dathi Burke and the occasion getting to them but what a game of strategy this is going to be between Galway and Limerick, almost like a chess game. Galway will try and force Limerick to shoot from distance and Limerick will try and exert their Physical superiority. Galway are more mobile, Limerick are more seasoned/experienced both have a good mix of veterans and youth, should be a cracker. I really admire the "no fear" factor of this Galway team that they showed (most of the time) in the League and Leinster championship, hopefully they can carry the momentum into the AI.

I like MD's post match interview. Very balanced and none of the 'no one gave us a chance, we showed em, they were writing us off all week' codswallop

Daithi is hardly going to be any fitter in 2 weeks than he was Saturday. Surely be better playing a fully fit player than a man who can barely run

Been a while since we had the Loughrea posters on complaining about a bias against Loughrea in team selections. Probably not since the round robin loss to Dublin I'd say. Btw well done to Tiernan Killeen -- great game last Saturday.

I dont want to see Daithi on the field the next day if he is as hampered by the knee injury as he was on Saturday. Too risky. Have him as a 2nd half substitute if necessary ( like Cian Lynch for Limerick yesterday). We need 15 fully fit players.

So because they beat cork in a semi final that means there is no bias ? Strange argument there. There is no all Ireland in the bag yet lad. And will have it all to do against an underperforming Limerick side yesterday. We are preparing for 3 in a row tom callanans don't worry ;)
