Replying To BarneyGrant:  "That argument falls with Louth's rightful insistence on picking a ground that did not cater for a third of the Armagh demand alone through clubs.

I have a PP pass but would be happy to be in lottery. PP would harldy hold even the Dublin crowd that was in Cavan and not the regular number on Hill these times. But supporters as Fionn says seem to massively favour Parnell despit that.

Huge pay off too if getting to quarter finals if they win and if - as they will be - the crowd and familiarity with the mad pitch is an advantage. Donegal themselves have made Ballybofey in particular into such a cauldron."
Didn't Donegal (amongst others) want Dublin taken out of Croke Park.?????

DCB are well within their rights to select their Home ground of Parnell Park for any Home game.
End of.
Simple really.

The fact that our manager has openingly come out and said he will push for the game to be played in Parnell Park is enough for me.

It is a Home game and will have a Home atmosphere.

How the mighty have fallen?
After your magnificient 6 in a row a Dublin manager is afraid to play a team in Croke Park.

I don't like it when posters don't think before they post (or possibly can't).

Since the great 6-in-a-row (only Limk hurlers in Munster also have that suffix in adult men's hurling or football), Dublin has won Leinster in '20, '21, '22, '23, '24 and Sam in 2023.

Where were all those games played? Was anyone afraid of paying, even winning them?

The most poetic justice, I feel, to now see lamenting, whiny Donegal have to live up to their own philosophy of taking the Dubs out of Croker.

This isn't about fear. This is about karma and justice.

In the Gaelic language, they have a great phrase for it: "Filleann an feall ar an bhfeallaire!"

Louth's suitation is not comparable as you well know. Here we have a suitation where the Dubs are throwing their noses up at Croke Park, the defacto home of the Dubs for as long as I remember, "Hill 16 Dublin Only" and all that lark. It really is hilarious stuff.

The dates and venues for all these games was to be announced at lunch time.
I will hazard a guess and say, the longer it goes on, the better the chance of the Dubs returning Home to Parnell Park, for Ger and the players…
Tick tock ….

Or will GAA pull rank and Force it to be played in HQ against the wishes of Ger & the DCB.???

Not at all. Its pure psychops! Straight out if Jimmy's playbook.

Donegal are better team and Ger needs to use every legitimate angle to even the playing pitch. As it were!

Be great added ingredient and has already succeeded in waking up lethargic Dublin support.

It's only hurting themselves but Croker is too big for them now and Parnell Park is clearly too small."
Saw your post on the Donegal thread.
Now now…

Why or why are Donegal getting their knickers in a twist about this.???
Ye are in the top 2 in the country. Surely it shouldnt bother you where you play a very average and non All Ireland contender..???
Ye will most likely beat us anyway so I find it rather amusing how worked up ye are all getting about the venue.

Dublin got a Home draw and want to play it in their Official Home ground of Parnell Park.
Whether we have used it in the last few years or not, is irrelevant. It is still our Home ground, and as such we are entitled to play a Home game there, if we so choose.

You mentioned a Kit Kat… I think a lot of angry Donegal posters in here need one also tbh.

It is not hilarious at all. Give Donegal what they have always craved-the Dubs out of Croker for their home games. Isn't that just satisfying everyone? Isn't that just so poetic?

Totally agree. All the whining on here is missing the point. This really isn't about what pitch suits them better or season tickets. It's about the injustice of the ban inflicted upon the whole team not just Ger Brennan. And now that Donegal are in the mix it's just the sweetest karma you could dream up. Imagine if they stick to their guns and Donegal can't even get enough tickets for season ticket holders! HQ are in a real mess here and Ger making them squirm is just lovely!! The fact that by 5pm they have not released the venues and times makes me think the Dublin County Board is playing hardball. Regardless of Parnell Park or Croker, this is their only outlet to make a poi t to HQ.

Made no difference….!!!

Game to throw in at 1.15 in Croker on Sunday.

I never ever want to hear a non Dub complain about the Dubs playing in Croke Park again or want us taken out of Croker….!

We wanted out but were not allowed to…!

Yes they did but they failed. Its was a donegal motion but in fairness the our arch nemisis Kerry spoke in Dublins favour although the yerras love playing in croke park anyway.Thats why it would really sicken donegal now to play in the Neller.

If Dublin want to play in the Nellwr it will happen but Im thinking Ger might be tongue in cheek. Now the fans are calling for the Neller, they have called Ger s bluff.Up to you now Ger and DCB.

He backed down fairly quickly. Croke Park it is (as predicted).
